Tripwire added the MG42 but not the AK47?
Why is this?

The game is set in Stalingrad, there were as many MG42's at Stalingrad as there were AK47's so why the absence of the latter?

The game is no longer limited to Stalingrad. They are adding the MG42 because there are lots of late-war maps created by the community.

That's the title of the game, sure. But that doesn't discount the fact that there are lots of maps that are set outside of and after the battle of Stalingrad.

OK, you get the AK-47 in the same patch in which they add a Leopard-2 for the germans

Yeah, I should have mentioned that at least the MG42 was around during WWII while the AK-47 didn't exist until after the war.

Stop with the AK47 threads. 47 = 1947.

If they're adding the MG-42 the least they can do is rename the MKB to MP-43

You'll notice the numbers right.... 42.... 47.... war was still going in 42..... war was well over in 47................................

But..... ,I,, to tripwire for adding more german lmg's like the germans need more fukkin op mg's.

Maybe (though not completely accurate) twi could give the Russians the Browning wz.1928
lMG 28 or something

The MP-43 is the same as the MP-44 there were just some minor changes.

Give the Russians the DsHK machine gun.

I could see that happening, and as someone who only plays Russians when there is no other option, I wouldn't mind it. The only downside is that it would have to be a static/mounted mg. Or (highly unlikely) make it a 'vehicle' by giving a wheeled mount, so it may be pushed around the battlefield to where it's needed (similar to AT weapons in design, these hmg's were used in this way look it up).
