Create another account and family share.
No other way around that.

VAC does save us from people who ruin a gaming session for us, but it also does silly stuff like that sometimes.

Well, Dungeon Defenders is an online multiplayer game which is why it is VAC protected. But I do agree that games should disable VAC completely when playing offline. All of Valve's games have VAC disabled when playing offline, I believe (correct me if I'm wrong).

However, Dungeon Defenders probably does so to prevent people from leveling their characters which can be used online anyway. They don't want people abusing their system by cheating like that, so it actually does make sense to me why they would do so.

Thats, specific.

Note, if you wana get a vac ban lifted go the forum and ask for a second chance/exsplain yourself.

This is correct.

VAC bans were once temporary. However, Valve realised that the majority of people would cheat again once the ban was lifted. This is why they are now permanent.

I'm afraid family share isn't available to those who have a VAC ban... otherwise they'd just keep making new accounts.

The only answer is to create a new steam account and buy the game anew. Which isn't really all that expensive a way to learn the lesson not to putz with the games for which you bought a license.

This is incorrect. I've family shared with this account with no problems.
SO MANY BADGERS! Aug 15, 2014 @ 4:13pm
People just need to stop cheating. Then you won't get banned.

Lol 8 years ago on dungeon defenders... nice try, the game is only going on 4 years old.

OK maybe I'm wrong - I don't have a VAC banned account to test with, but on the Family Library Sharing Users Guide it says: Note: If you are VAC banned, you will be unable to share any VAC protected games.

Oh, that's interesting. I've read multiple times in the "big" thread that people just family shared and are good to go again.

You are wrong - I've used family sharing to play Rising Storm and Red Orchestra over the past few months. Maybe if it was a game my account was actually banned in there would be problems.

Love these threads. **** you, cheater.
using a mem editor to cheat on a single player game is detrimental to the online gaming community

I'm pretty sure you wouldn't be banned in an offline game. Maybe you were banned for another reason? IDK.
