Forza Horizon 3

Okay, so...

I have a lovely friend who has guided me through the steps of making Forza work with the steam controller(so I am aware of the UWP and Xoutput part), but I was wondering how buggy it would be?

Have you played FH3 with the controller? Does it actually work or is it unplayable?

Also I assume the Gyro won't work since we have to emulate the Xbox Controller?

Haven't played the game, but I don't see any reason why gyro shouldn't work since it (gyro) can be emulated as xinput.

As long as xoutput can configure the gyro, it should work because the gyro can be set up as analog orwhatever too so it should work. I tried a few racing games with the gyro and it works great regardless of how you set it up, but it works best as analog xinput.

Well i wasn't much help i'm just guessing. I don't own any UWP games so i don't use xoutput, but from what i read on the forums, it works pretty well so you should be fine.

Xoutput and GloSC both have been known to cause some issues. It's really hard to say HOW bad it will be. I got rid of both a while ago but then again, I do NOT use the Windows store ever so I have little need for them at this time. But since GloSC has been updated more recently, I would hope it's gotten better. Usually, the issues come in where a game tries to take inputs from the emulated driver and the SC itself. In this case, you are going to be using a UWP game so that won't be an issue, at least for those.

Both options require you to make a config for your game so making a custom config is essentially the game as it always is, only you don't get the over. This means you will have to configure the controller BEFORE launching the game and if you want/need to make any tweaks then you will have to quit the game to make changes, at least it will work at all so I would call that a plus.

Oh, that's not bad at all then, I don't mind having to exit the game to change the setting as long as it works. The only important part to me is it being able to work. That's all!

Trust me, you will soon find out that being able to just hit the steam button, open the configuration app, play around with settings and have it instantly applied is a BIG benefit. You also lose out of action set labels, HUD and touch/radial menus. Working at all is ver much to the priority, though. :)

Yeah, that is very true, but what can you do? I had to contact microsoft support for the last 2 hours just to get my game fixed, never mind the steam controller stuff.

On the positive side, my controller is finally on its way to UK and it should be here by tomorrow. Quite happy about that :P

Well, I think that might have something to do with the fact we don't have baseball bats shoved up our asses... XD
