GfwL is about to be shut down. When will we be able to register this game on Steam?
My serial looks like this:
XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX
5 times 5 digits.

With this key I could register it at GfwL.
Some other games were already able to be transfered to Steam, with their GfWL serial.
Since the GfwL client will be shut down in a few months, more games will follow this transfer possibilty.

Batman Arkham Asylum is not yet possible to transfer...?!
Or... am I doing something wrong?!

GFWL and securom were completely removed from this game some patches ago. I am not sure why you would be able to register a game on steam that you did not purchase on steam. (Or purchased digitally that gave you a steam key) This game also does not have steamworks so steam is not "required" to play it.

Have you tried registering your game in steam by click on Games at the top then choosing Activate a game on steam? If that does not work then I doubt you will be able to.

Lol?!

You can register hundreds over hundreds of retail games on steam with the serial.
Don´t tell me you didn´t know that?! The smaller number of games can not be registred with the retail serial. This includes Batmand AA and Bioshock 1 & 2.

Bioshock 1 & 2 where already converted from GfWL to Steam a few monts ago!
People that bought the retail of Bioshock could simply convert it to Steam with the serial.

Question is: will this be possible with Batman AA? I heard that this will come, but wheeeeen?

Some AA and AC keys are a bit fubar'd when it comes to registering them on Steam. Contact WB support, I've read plenty of instances where they'll provide affected users with Steam redeemable codes.

Many say they had no problem getting a new key:

if you're having problem with "Batman Arkham Asylum" (invalid key product) just contact Warner Bros Games : support@wbgames.com

Just make an email to explain the problem and give them :
> a scan of your game book with the activation code
> a picture of the box + game book code
> the game receipt if you still have it (i didn't...so i gave my GFWL gamer tag)

They will reply to you really quickly (took 1 day for me to solve the problem from the first contact). They will create a support ticket then they will send you a new working code.

Enjoy !

because there are many "shaved monkeys" around the internet who are not able to write a clear and polite email.

I got an response with a working steamkey within 15 minutes. So they do reply and the do give you a steam code after proving your ownership of a original copy of AA.
