360 controller problem
I'm wanting to use my 360 controller for this game but I have an issue with movement. Using the left analog stick only partially works. Lara will move okay and then stop moving completely for a second. Like I stopped pushing the analog stick. It's not the controller failing because I use it for a few other games with no issue (Dark Souls, other TR games).

I tried just using the keyboard/mouse but no analog really hurts the movement in this game for me.

Any ideas?

Edit: Did a little more testing. It's only getting stuck in the down/left direction. I also loaded Farcry 3 and tested the analog movement. No problems moving in any direction.

are you usen a ms controller or a offbrand like madcatz or gamestop bc the game only really uses ms stuff since its a true port from xbox 360

I've got the same problem! Glad I just tried the demo! It's a shame that can't be fixed! I was getting ready to buy it from Steam, but after Lara stopping dead in her tracks every few minutes, I'll just get it for my PS3 instead. Otherwise a great game! (Afterglow controller)

Like the guy above, I have an afterglow that works flawlessly on the X360 on top of other controller-supported games on the PC. This is the only game that has a consistant issue in terms of my controller/analog. Is there no fix for it?

In particular, the bottom left part of my left analog stick doesn't seem to be detected by the game? Everywhere else works, but once I face "South-West", my character stops.

I'm having this problem as well with a wired XBOX360 controller. Only fix I've found is to not push your analog stick all the way to the bottom left corner. Kind of obnoxious.

I'm playing with motionjoy and ds3, I was having this problem with my cechzc2ua1 controller, had to swith with my old cechzc2m. Strange problem.

I actually had this same problem on my Xbox 360 version of the game. All that time I thought it was my controller :(

It could be a game problem as i have similar issue with keyboard (azerty).
When i go left/right + down, i can't jump anymore; it's ok when i go up+left/right.
More strange?
If i change controle key on a other part of the keybord, all is ok!
This is the only game which do that and i a have a lot of game ;).
It occurs on my old and new configuration (but same Microsoft keybaord).

I am sad that this still has not been fixed yet known for a year. I just started playing the game, and it's you can't move diagonally down and left. Do they not test these games? Noticed this bug in the first 5 minutes.

guess i should have read this before buying. man i hate xinput, almost as much as i hate broken games that get published and never fixed. i guess i'm lucky to have gotten it cheap. will play with mouse+keyboard instead, i guess. very sorry to everyone who ended up getting ripped off this way.

Hmm. My teenager and I play this game together, and neither of us experience this problem. She's using a Logitech F310 wired gamepad, in Xbox mode, and I'm using an old Logitech Dual-Action wired gamepad, which doesn't have an Xbox mode. We're both using Windows 7.

I don't know if this made a difference, but we both manually configured our gamepads in the options menu. The first thing we did was clear each and every default button mapping, since there were multiple inputs (keyboard, mouse, and controller) mapped to each button (which I thought might cause conflicts). Then we re-mapped the buttons to our personal preferences. We did not map anything to the thumbstick-buttons, thereby leaving the sticks purely for controlling movement (left stick) and for aiming (right stick).
