Controller
In the options menu in the game, it has the option for "contoller on." I've tried hooking up a controller but to no avail. I know steam says the game isn't controller enabled, but is there a way to use a controller?

It supports Xinput which is for Xbox 360 Controllers and some Logitech Controllers. You have to have the controller recognized in your control panel before you launch the game. I'm using my Microsoft Wireless Reciever with a Xbox 360 controller.

I have a mad catz xbox controller that works with all my other games, but I can't get it to work with this game. Any ideas? Or should I just get an xbox brand controller?

The MadCatz Xbox Controller should work since it's Licenced and supports Xinput, The problem is since Windows is reporting it as a MadCatz Controller Mini Ninjas is ignoring it. You can edit your registry and change the value to force the computer to report it as official.

Messing with the Registry is always dangerous and can render your machine unusable. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL if your not comfortable with poking in there I wouldn't advise so with that said you can do this:

1. Go to Device and Printers in your control panel
2. copy the name of your Controller down exactly the way it is written there
3. Pres Windows Key + R then type in "regedit" and press Enter
4. search for the name of the gamepad exactly the way you wrote it down (Edit Menu + Find)
5. Change all the things that have it's name to "XBOX 360 Controller for Windows"

This makes it so everytime you plug it in the computer thinks it's the real deal, If you don't want to go into the registry then the next thing would be to buy a official Xbox 360 controller as the game only supports the official one.

Cool, thank you very much. I may just buy a new controller in case... This one has seen better days, anyways

The Devs made it so it only recognizes Official Microsoft Xbox 360 Controllers, So even though others are licenced it only reads the MS ones that's why you have to apply the fix in such a way.

You can use X360ce (open source) to emulate the Xbox 360 controllers with any gamepad: http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/
It is working with Mini Ninjas!

Actually went out and bought one of those xbox 360 afterglow controllers and it seems to work great. Thanks everyone for the input!

This didn't work for me? I have the Logitech F710 Wireless Gamepad.

I also have a Logitech F710, this fix doesn't seem to work with this controller.
Also, I tried x360c controller emulator. It also will not make this controller work with this particular game.

This is sad. I really wanted to buy this game, but if i cant make a controller work, then I guess i will just uninstall the demo and call it a day. Kind of dumb that the dev's cant just use regular xinput (or direct input) and instead force the game to only work with the "official" controller.

I have a Logitech F310 Gamepad and i was having the same problems like most people. I downloaded a profile file from http://pinnaclegameprofiler.com/profile_download/8522 . There is a dinput8.dll file in it.

Then i copied the dinput8.dll file into the game directory and now gamepad works great. I hope this helps.

@alpertini - thanks a ton for that tip. I also have (and love) the Logitech F310 - since it is like a PS controller and was pretty ticked to see the controller not being recognized. That file fixes the problem perfectly.

Got a Razer Sabertooth and cant get it to work. Using Pinnacle Game Profiler doesnt help either :(

Does anyone know if this game is going to be supported?
