What about war horns and war instruments in general?

Hello.
I don't know if it already exist in the game, but i'm pretty in love with this kind of things that are drums of war, horns of war etc. can you imagine a tribe in his own fortress while working in tranquility, and suddenly the silence is interrupted by a far sound of a war horn (maybe made by a triceratope horn) and then the drums of war (made by dinos hide, wood and other stuff) start to ring by the distance, i'm pretty sure that this will put into those villagers hearts a lot of fear.
With this i don't mean that those instruments give some buff in game coz, i think that just by playing those instruments you will be inspired and have a your blood boiling in your veins and that should prepare you for the battle. This was just a personal thought xD.

I will have to find the instrument thread but I think devs said they like the idea of instruments and they may be added during early release.

Oh this will be a perfect thing, this will give to the game that that little bit extra touch that let you rly feel inside the game.
As an example i will bring up that those horns sound that in the last Hobbit film.

Why not? if you know that you are big enough to win that war, you will not have fear but enemies will probably have.

and you can also use instruments as orders to give to your men.

That would be a really awesome option for folks/tribes who can afford that sort of bombast. And it makes me think of adapted parasaurolophus crests/resonance chambers as war horns.

yes good idea, i was thinking about that if you choose a different kind of bone or other materials to make you own horn (as example) those will make different sounds that will give to your tribe a recognition that will other tribes warn of.

Or as a decoy to draw in particular dinosaurs to hunt/tame. (And possibly to deceive other players who may be searching for those particular dinosaurs...!)

Another good idea, think about that you can may use a way that you can draw some species of dinos to you, and may your tribe is specialized to run those kind of dinos, you will be known for example as the triceratops king xD.

I rly appreciate that, and what about a tool with actual notes i mean that you should press some buttons to make different melodies?

Yeah, when we implement instruments they'll definitely make use of the various input buttons to actually emit different notes so you can play melodies.

I recently made a list of weapons that cannot be actually played as instrument but they are pretty picturesque and they will stay perfectly in this game, you may can modify some of those and make them play sounds too xD:
Ok let's start our list of ancient weapons.
I will start with native Americans weapons, check in internet for specifications xD.
1. Bow and arrows
2. Tips bullets ( i don't know if it is well translated btw in italian is punte proiettili)
3. Arrowheads (made by stone, metal or sometimes by bones)
4. Tomahawk
5. Battle-axes or war axes
6. shield of war
7. spears
8. knives and daggers made by stone
9. slingshot
10. Atlatl ( i rly like this one)
11. blowgun ( that is perfect in this game to knock someone)
12. Throwing stick for hares ( this was almost a boomerang but it will not come back to you xD)
13. Bolas ( we have already seen these in another similar and most hated game, actually i don't hate ark xD)
14. club (native Americans clubs are pretty, i like how they are designed.)
15. gun ax or Gunstock ( i don't know what is the exact translation but it was a weapon that resembled the form of a musket, they were often made of hard wood or whalebone and embellished with carvings on the grips. ( they are pretty well made too xD and this weapon don't shoot).
16. (last but not least we have) Club with ball (hope the translation is good xD.

Ok this was the first list of weapon i may forgot some and i have not mentioned fire guns, if you know some other that i have not mentioned, be free to post it.
