Devs, how many people to get all skills from tech tree?
After reading the Q&A, I know that no one person can get everything on the skill tree on an unmodded server. I was wondering how many people would it take to be able to access everything? For example, could me and, say two friends, be able to access all parts of the tech tree (eg one person is a combat master, one person has maxed out survival/leftover stuff and the third has all the crafting stuff)?

2-3 could probably cover the whole thing with overlap, at least at EA.

Cool, thanks for the quick reply. It's good to know that we can still do everything if we don't want a huge group.

This would be multiplayer only right? Would be TERRIBLE if this was on the single player version as well. (I will be running with a tribe of 8-10 other people but it would still suck if people who want to play solo were locked out of stuff).

I assume if someone was doing singeplayer, that person would change the settings and/or mod it so that they could get everything solo.

Soo..does this mean you can't learn all the craftable things on your own? I hope not I don't want to be forced to interact with people to get items they can craft but I cant

Yeah i agree. I think having a group to make things easier is only for some people. I'm a lone wolf and I think that i should be able to accomplish everything it should just take more skill, instead of just being handicapped. I guess the alternative though, is having to make tuff choices on where to spend stat points, so it's alright i guess.

I see no reason a solo player can't craft anything, a tribe would just be able to do it faster. Really hope it's not the case

As I said, they did say that you wouldn't be able to get all skills on UNMODDED servers, so I assume that you can alter the server settings to allow yourself to be able to get all skills.

Well that puts a damper of disappoint on my Lone Wolf plans, but it's not a deal-breaker. It's one of those little things that encourage postitve social interactions. Folks planning on joining nomadic merchant tribes should appreciate this.

I think it's a good idea, in my opinion it helps cultivate teamwork (which I think was their goal) as you have to work together to get everything instead of working against each other like in most games.

Does that mean a server owner ( modded server ) can easely increase the lvl height or something so you still get all techs at some point ?

I would say so, from what I gather the server options are very robust

I think blueprints will cover the stuff you opt out of learning via engrams. The blueprints have to be found while the engrams are earned via leveling. and no you don't keep the blueprints if you die. At least I hope each item will have a blueprint for it.

omg,..what would skill trees make a sense if 1 person could max them all out?
If you cant craft it your self,... trade with someone or just kill him and take his stuff,...

There are also Blueprints to fill in the gaps in your knowledge. ;-)
