I know the previous two games had the option of permanently deleting either language track to save space, but the files this time are a bit more cryptic as to which video files represents which language. Dunno if we can delete anything this time.

Seriously though, why would SE disable higher resolution if simple hex edit can fix it. I wonder if there is any problem with resolutions higher than 1080p.

So there is a hard cap on the resolution, I hope Durante will be able to work his magic on this one. atm I am satisfied by how the game look

I've managed to enforce 4K though it didn't change output scale (window size), but FPS hit and cheat engine reported correct values.

Wait so the hex edit does indeed work? Can you post some shots please?

It looks like that is the case, here are compressed comparison shots between 1024x576 and 3840x2160

Output window is 16:9 1920x1080 nevertheless but at least render resolution gets changed.

Very nice. Well I think my information gathering is coming to and end. Thanks for posting shots and info :ss2heart:

While it isn't the best solution at this point it is acceptable.

That doesn't look like 4k at all, it's still a blurry mess.

You are aware that this is 3840x2160 downscaled to 1920x1080 and then compressed to a crappy jpeg?

I tried this. In the drop-down menu it says 3840x2160 but it doesn't actually change anything. It's still very blurry on my 4K monitor.

I assume the issue is the fact that output window is always 1920x1080

What is happening is that the game renders at whatever resolution you hack in, if it's greater than 1080 it's downscaled and then the 1080 window is stretched to fit your monitor.

As far as i can tell, memory addresses correctly reflect chosen resolution and i see effects of SSAA, thus i guess it does work, but unless there's a way to resize output resolution along with render resolution it's nothing more than a way to enforce SSAA.

There's still way too many jaggies, and too much blur for being downscaled from 4k to 1080p. It is sharper than the first picture, but not by much. Something weird is going on in this game.

I'm gonna try your method though and see how it reacts with my 980 ti. Be right back.

Actually i've thought of easiest test possible, someone who has gedosato installed just should do a frame dump, if some of the buffers have desired resolution then this infact does work as (at least) SSAA solution.

Sorry for being a noob, I just opened the exe in HxD, and found the text string with 1920 x 1080, but how should I edit them to get it to render at 2560 x 1440?
