Registration Code Question
I recently bought a used copy of Shogun 2. Of course the reg. code didn't work. I talked to the store I bought it from and they emailed me and refunded my shipping and item price for Shogun 2, but said I did NOT have to return it. My question is, if I buy Shogun 2 on Steam now, can I use the discs I still have to install the game? The reason I initially didn't buy it on Steam was that I have crazy slow internet speeds. Having a physical copy of the game means I get to start playing sooner! Thanks for the responses.

Can anyone answer this for me? I want to buy the game now, but I would like to know if I can install it from the discs if I buy it on Steam right now? Seriously want to start playing!

i have a similar problem as i bought the game brand new but im using a different steam account now as i had to delete my old email address and now steam will not allow me to install as its a duplicate code. so now ive got a brand new game just sitting their not being able to play it because steam have these stupid rules of product codes!

It's such an issue, that the company I bought mine from gave me my money back and didn't even require that I send the game back. I won't be buying another TW game. People with low bandwidth get screwed when we can't install from disc. Oh well. I live in a beautiful rural area and won't trade the beauty of the region for better bandwidth.
