Shogun 2 won't start anymore,

Pretty much, as of a week ago, my shogun 2 total war stopped working, I took out all the mods and uninstalled the re-installed the game, yet it still doesn't work, is anyone else having this problem, if so how would I go about fixing this issue, Also it seemed to happen when the newest update came out for the game, well last week anyway, and it hasn;t worked since, it doesn;t even go to the start screen or launcher at all.

Same problem too, uninstalled the re-installed the game twice, it doesn't have solved the problem on this computer, but it has worked on another one.

The Awesomium.dll is broken or something try to delete and download the file, maybe that helps

07543, I did that before and after I re-installed the game, and Captian i hope that isn't a virus or anything mate, just kinda cautious is all.

I had this problem when the game came out, I played for a week and a problem started apearing. Now two three years later my gf went to the store and bought me Shogun 2 Total War, I installed it on the same pc and the problem was there from the begining. Now, I love the game so much, I played it at my brothers pc. So I swiped windows, formated my HD and instaled a new different fresh copy of windows 7 ult. The problem is cosistant and there is no fix. I spent days and days, trying everything I read on forums like drivers, uninstal mods, took one of my gpu's and etc, and still no luck. I even got FOTS from my gf a day ago, installed it and no luck. So just to say thank you to CA, for not giving a thing about this issue.

Salei, pretty much what you're saying is that I now have a game that is unplayable, because of Ca's own folly?I have medieval 2 and that works fine, I wonder what had happened to make it the gamenow unplayable to so many. Bu this is a black mark on them, and by the looks of it a big one. I just hope their next game will learn from Rome, and now from Shogun 2.

That last patch seems to have dredged up some old problems. I've played shogun 2 for years with no problem, but when i tried yesterday, there was constant graphical glitching and crashes. I fixed it, but the last patch seemed to destabilize the game.

I had that problem then used ADW cleaner to fix the awesomium issue.

whats Awesomnium thingy? and yeah, when I try launch it, it doesn;t appear on the screen, but it shows up in the system processes, and says that I'm playing the game, but the actual game doesn't start.

I tried that and it didnt even make a difference. also adobe keeps making these updates. i remember adobe just came out with adobe flash player 12, and now an adobe 13? idk if you need adobe flash player or what, but it says the game is adobe enabled soooo wtf?

I remember having the graphics really high for a little while before this started happening. anyone else?

Had the graphics on really high too, I had a lot of problems in my last game like black textures or horrible fps in the full battle. I found a solution but it doesnt help everyone (like me), just for some lucky people. Search for Incredibar and delete it, could help

yea, also disabling the vtoolbarupdater in task manager. its worth trying for everyone else, but im still having the problem
