Should I start with Darthmod?

Gonna start playing Shogun 2 for the first time tomorrow. Should I already start with Darthmod, or would it be more recommendable to play vanilla first at least?

I just switched from Napoleon, where I know Darthmod is a great thing to have.
I'm finding the dynamics wey diff.
I'd say go vanilla for a while.

Vannila Shogun 2 is pretty good. I recommend Darthmod for your second campain.

Usually one vanilla plathrough is worth ago before a darth mod.

If you want to get pissed the hell off then use darthmod. This game is very hard with darth mod because it adds more garrison troops. And let me tell ya its been pissing me off cause I either cant win the siege or they just build up an army and camp in their castle.

Try DarthMod with few addons, You will not regret - very satisfying campaign. It is hard - depends where You start but then when u get 8 provinces its getting easier. I really enjoyed Tosa game and Chofu (yellow one), as ur being attacked from all sides - totally worth it !
And please do not forget to enable popin battles - it will keep online live , just mentioning it as I try and try and can not fight anyone :D

Never play a total war game with mods first. Experience the original first. Then you can appreciate or dislike any changes the mod makes.

The only mod that I have here is the one to make the text larger, they are so small that I have to put my face really close to the monitor. But it has a flaw. Sometimes, the texts are longer than the boxes and you don't have the option to scroll it down... Lately, I am not using it much. When I start the game, I just left it unchecked and I am finding myself now used to this suffering. I don't know if I shold be or not happy for this...

Yeah, I'm just using the larger font size. Total War text is unreadable in my screen without this mod (it was the same for E:TW).

I agree, to an extent. But I cannot let it go without a remark.
The dissatisfaction is the source of my desire which gave me a sour result time and again, thus, indulging me in suffering as I find myself forced to abide to that flaw. The lesser evil, even though I do recognize that there are no true difference between evils. The lesser, medium, greater, are all evil the same. But I'd rather bathe in pain than bathe in ignorance and be unable to be fed with the wisdom in front of me from this neon light window.
Evolve and adapt, I should say, but then again, it could work the other way too... So, I find myself stuck in an infinite loop, once more... Thank you, stranger...

I'm not a fan of Darthmod Shogun. I didn't think it added anything worthwhile.
