1. Step:
Save your Avatar Data, it is located in ...../Seam/userdata/RANDOMNUMBER/34330
Copy the Directory 34330 and save it
2. Step:
If you loose your Avatar now, you can simply replace the directory with your saved one!!
IMPORTANT: If you have activated SteamCloud, you have to replace the file, DEACTIVATE the SeamCloud, start Shogun2, look if your Avatar is back, then MINIMIZE shogun2 (Alt+Tab) and ACTIVATE the SteamCloud. End Shogun2 and the Cloud will update.
Unless do you mean avatars are saved client side. That doesnt really make sense avatars should be saved server side?
What would cause the initial loss?
Avatars are saved client-side (When disabling Steam sync for Shogun 2, I dunno when it's on).
You can literally download a mod on the workshop that gives you a near 100% probability of getting a rare-drop (And you can grind your level and vets by doing bot games).
And yeah, it doesn't make sense - I dunno why the developers chose to save avatars the way they did.
Yea thats just a massive design flaw.
Glad im not going crazy they stupid...
