(Help Needed) Crashes every time I end a battle

I have Fall of the Samurai and when I end a battle the game crashes to desktop. Can someone give me a basic step by step solution to this? Thanks in advance.

Are you using any mods? A recent update to the game made the game crash either before or after the battle. Disable your mods and unsub from them. Then, you should delete certain files. Go to: Program Files(x86) - Steam - SteamApps - common - Total War SHOGUN 2 - data. Then delete only PACK Files that are not the following: boot.pack, bp_orig.pack, data.pack, data_fots.pack, local_en.pack, models.pack, models2.pack, movies.pack, movies_fots.pack, movies2.pack, shaders.pack, sound.pack, terrain.pack. Delete PACK files that are NOT these ones.

Thanks for the reply, but the problem is still persisting. I have Windows 8.1 if it helps, but this problem was present in windows 7 and 8 as well. The battles themselves run beautifully but often when I click end battle it crashes to desktop with the message "Shogun 2 has stopped working". It also crashes when I start a campaign.
