Is this worth buying at this point and at this price.

There are lots of good 4x games coming out. Whats your thoughts on this game AS IS right now? How about in the future? I don't own it but I like the look of the city building, though I'm curious about how the ground combat will play out. (I know everyone hated MOO3 but it did one thing right (ground combat).

What is ship combat like? Will there be fighters? Are the races unique or do they all borrow from the same tech tree?

Well, Predestination, AS IS right now, is still in alpha, so you're going to encounter bugs, and incomplete features. There is no way for me to know if that's worth $29.99 to you. However, I can say that I'm very glad I backed this game on Kickstarter, and I've enjoyed the time I've spent playing it so far... including reporting the bugs I found :)

Right now it is still missing a few things, however as far as entertainment goes, given the number of hours I have actually enjoyed playing the game for the price, it has beat quite a number of games I have purchased already.
