Dayz not working

Whenever I pull up Dayz from steam(Or from OA using a manual installlation) when I try to join a server it almost always says "Bad version, Server rejected connection". When I try to run it with Dayz commander it will start joining then stop at the Dayz loading screen. Help me!

You just have to wait the loading screen. Some servers are very slow.
As for bad version, read the second error;

I find when i try running it i get that error, too - i believe because most servers are running a slightly newer version so the my (and your) client won't join the server. Howeveer, when i run the 'beta patch' it says missing executable. Having removed and re-added DayZ, twice, i am unab;e to play it. £12.49 for the complete collection wasted as i only wanted it for DayZ. :(

hmm my dayz just hits a loading screen and stops to :/ think we going to have to download it manually :(

How did you make it works?
While trying to apply "beta patch", i got an error "file not exists"

I followed Wulfie exact instructions about running each game once, etc, downloading the beta patch, from the link he gave and then installing DayZ afterwards. Once i had it all installed, i used the DayZ commander to get into a game.

Try update via DayZ Commander - after updating, DayZ can be launched even from Steam.

2. DayZ is very popular so yes, people will buy two games for a mod

What if those people don't like Army games, but they love Survival games. What if those people don't love First person shooters, but they love the relative quiet, but adreneline filled moments when a zombie is attempting to attack. What if they love one of the first and really good outdoors zombie games... They will play DayZ and will buy Arma 2 and it's expansion, to do it. ;o) (plus it's really quite inexpensive to buy now)
