Follow these steps to the T...
1. Exit Steam then go to Start, type run then regedit
2. Go to LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Wow6432Node
3 . Now you will see 2 folders, Bohemia Interactive and Bohemia Interactive Studio
4. Do this for both folders-Right click on each folder (NOT Sub-folders. I wasn't able to delete the file until I did it to the main folder)
-Go to permissions
-Allow full control for all of them
5. Now open each of the folders and delete "ArmA 2 OA"
6. Exit
7. Start Steam and now verify both Arma2 and Arma OA's game cache. I'm sure you don't need me to explain this.
8. In Dayz Commander the Arma2 will need to be re-installed by going to Install/update by the top right. Should be the second one down.
This worked for me after 2 hours of looking at google's tutorials but none explained the permission step very well so I wasn't able to delete the files.

So just to let some people know that in my regedit my Bohemia Interactive Studio; Arma 2 OA,
KEY | REG_SZ | 0000000000000
looked like that, and I tried many ways to fix this by weeks/months of googling I've finally found a solution;
1. Right click Arma 2 OA located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE - Software - Wow6432Node Bohemia Interactive 'STUDIO'
2. Once right clicked on Arma 2 OA go 'Permissions...' and make sure your user is checked as FullControl and Read. (I checked it all for all users/groups)
3. Go 'Advanced' in Administrator or your user and click 'Edit' and Check all of those permissions as Allow.
4. Once done click 'Ok', 'Apply' then Ok again
5. that should fix it and allow you too edit your Arma 2 OA key from 0000000000000 to whatever your code is.
6. if you dont know what your code is open up steam and right click 'Arma 2: Operation Arrowhead' and View CD key
7. Copy your CD key to clipboard and return back to regedit (Exit steam)
8. Right click your KEY and 'MODIFY' the Data value to your original CD key instead of 00000000000
9. That should fix it so close it down and open back up steam and test it out!
If you have any questions please ask, I'll try to be active on this page and help out as much as possible!
also in Steam you can download Arma 2: DayZ Mod which was realised today! (22-Feb-2013)
