UNSOC is recruiting.

We are a mil-sim and or realism unit, new-ish, and are looking for new recruits.

My group "UNSOC" (United Nations Special Operations Command) We are easy going, basicly meanig that when we are doing an "OP" we crack jokes and dont scream into the mic "PTFO MARINE! FOCUS ON THE MISSION" or try and be like drill Sergeants. If you want to join UNSOC, friend me and let us know you want in, or just post here.

When it comes to our unit, we have three different sections to this unit.

Para-Rescue, or "PR"
PR's are the boys who are willing to go into a hot LZ and get any and all injured personel out, while being the pilots personel body guard. They are trained medics, and low flying Delta.

Pilots.
We have guys in here primarily for transport and CAS (CLose Air Support) and thus the main infantry doesnt have to draw straws on who is more qualified to fly the squad in for a single OP.
Pilots are givin two PR's for search and rescue missions, and door gunners/body guards.

Regular Infantry.
The core and soul of UNSOC, and any other military for that matter is, the regular army. Our main Infantry has people with different skill sets put together, not just basic riflemen etc.
We have men who are grenediers/marksmen/anti tank, others who are pilot qualified/automatic riflemen, and then some who are just straight up riflemen who are good at what they do.

So if you want to hunt down the taliban on takistan, or instill peace in the eastern European state of Chernarus, join either side, no mission is too dangarous for us.

If you want to specifically join one of the three sections i listed, post what side you want, then friend me so I can get you situated.

The requirments are as follows: A working mic and to be professional about the group and what we do, so dont scream into the mic when you get killed like a five year old Call of duty player, and be able to speak English.

Bear im mind, that there is a chance you might be sent over to to another section of our unit because of lack of manpower, so be ready for that.

Would we ever be playing as guerilla forces? Otherwise I mean what people would generally regard as the "bad guys". (eg. Russians, Taliban)

To answer your question Martin, possibly. We are the United Nations Special Operations Command, but when we are not doin training or an OP, we sometimes switch our domination server to the Takistani forces just for fun. We might at some point use guerilla forces uiforms and assorted weaponry for a spec ops mission.

I don't mean to undermine the spirit of milsims or anything, although I only do play Arma casually. I don't really intend to commit myself to weekly sessions or anything. However when I play Arma I do play it for the military simulation aspect. It would be nice to be able to play with a milsim group when I'm up for it. How frequently would I have to be able to be present for OP's and training?

Training is every weekend, the day would be announced friday or the day before friday. OPs would be radimized, its when we all feel in the mood.

I'm really laid back about that, it would be cool if you could show up to two a month (as long as training doesnt get held back due to holidays etc) all I ask is that you interact with the group, play games that you have in common or just arma.

Are we expected to own every DLC to arma 2? And do we have to be active 247?

Negetive. Try to be around a decent ammount of time, we are all about team building. You do not have to own all the DLC, and we DO NOT enforce mods, meaning you do not have to have specific mods to join.
