Time attack crashes the game on Linux
I played and finished the game on 64bit Funtoo linux, works well. But once I finished it I wanted to give Time attack a try, which crashes the second I select it from the menu.

If steam is running I get this error when starting time attack:
(eval):611: [BUG] Segmentation fault ruby 1.9.3p194 (2012-04-20 revision 35410) [i386-linux]
followed by some backtrace and runtime info

If I run the game from console with steam not running, I get this:
Script error: If you did not change the scripts, screenshot this and send to the creator. StateTimeAttack/render: #<NoMethodError: undefined method `-' for nil:NilClass>

I think this may be a Steam thing... according to GDB it's crashing on one of Steam's libraries.

Actually... where are the Steam leaderboards, even? Is that even a feature anymore? If not, that may be why steamclient.so is segfaulting.

The non-Steam crash seems to be the result of Eversion's Ruby scripts not knowing what to do without Steamworks attached.

Checked this on OSX, same behavior. Windows is fine, though.

Getting in touch with Valve now. Very very odd indeed.

Thanks for the info, I feel a bit better even though just because there's not a problem on my end.

Woah hey, this went cold for a while didn't it?

I updated Eversion to the latest Steam SDK and they fixed it!

... for OSX. Yeah. I'm still prodding at the Steamworks issue, but with the update I just did, it's pretty much all on libsteam_api now. Will let you know when Linux finally gets fixed.

After months of anticipation, the feature finally works on Linux. Give the newest Steam version a try!

Tried out the first world, works fine for me (on 64bit Gentoo). Don't have time atm to try out the rest but I guess it should work just as well.
