What are you getting stuck on?

op - were you playing on an easy setting? I'm asking because, while I don't often play platformers, I do play them every once in a while- but aside from lack of experience in this genre (due to it being probably my least favorite, no offense by the way, though I've been gaming over 20yrs.), I also need surgery on my mouse hand, so on fast paced, more difficult games right now, it's harder for me to do. I was considering this one since I have a coupon (not that I need a coupon, but didn't want to waste a lot of money if I didn't like it or couldn't handle it right now). Can anyone comment on this?

I don't think this game has difficulty settings.

It does get a tiny bit tedious in level 7 if you're trying to get all the gems...though even then, the complete game, with all its content, should be easily accessible within the course of a few hours, at most.

Hmm, no difficulty settings hu? Tedious around lvl 7, but are you used to platformers? Is it fast paced? Onslaught of enemies from all directions most the time kind of thing? (Couldnt handle something 'too' frantic at the moment). I appreciate your feedback by the way. +

2D platformers are probably my most familiar genre/format/style of game. Doesn't mean I'm great at them, but just that I've played them for years :P

Are you asking me for a review of the game? Sure, I guess I can try...

It has a comfortable, moderate pace -- neither sluggish nor very twitchy.

The game is not heavy on enemies at all. Gameplay-wise, its main focus is obstacles and some simple puzzle-solving. There are a couple segments where you have to outrun an advancing wall, though it moves slowly enough and the level is small enough that at most it'll take several tries before you get the hang of it.

The game is not generally regarded as difficult. The main attraction is the feature of being able to move between parallel worlds.

BTW, if you're looking for a well-designed platformer designed with reasonable patience in mind as a gameplay approach, you should also check out Mutant Mudds, which I recently played and quite liked.

(By "reasonable patience" I mean something that is not dependent on rapid button combos or quick reflexes, but instead gives the player a lot of room to breathe and think through things.)

Was just appreciating what you had given so far, but I welcomed the extra you just gave me as well.

I will look at that game too, thanks. Aside from my hand needing some work!, someone not really practiced at platformers aren't very good w/the rapid button combo types, for someone like me, not as into the genre, that's just irritation brewing!, whereas it's more of a challenge/goal to learn for someone else. Thanks a lot for the suggestions and information on this one.

*P.S. - if you're interested, I have an offer (card) you don't have but need I'd be willing to gift you, as a thank you for your helpfulness. Let me know if you're interested (you'd probably have to add me as my profile is closed to all but contacts. I don't normally add randoms but we've talked enough and I'd be happy to gift it to you. Feel free to delete me if your picky about randoms afterwards. I'll let it be your call. Have a good day).

@Storm_at_Sea: sorry that it's been hard for us to get in touch. I'm at the end of a semester at school and there's just a lot going on.

Also, I don't consider you a random because we've actually chatted before :)

:) Mission accomplished. Sorry took a while, Steam .....

Anyway just wanted to say thanks (would do it in that thread but it's locked now). My reply is a bit lacking context, but you get the point anyway. And Steam was lagging for me too. But thank you anyway.

In any case, you know where to find me if you want to chat more about any of the games I've played, since I do tend to play a good number of platformers. (FWIW, another suggestion is Eryi's Action, though that does have a little bit more in the way of precision timing I think.)

Np, and I will definately keep you in mind when making platformer decisions.
