Distorted sound on linux

I just bought and installed this game purely on a recommendation from my brother.

I can't get the game to start at all from within steam but it will run if I start the binary directly from it's folder in .local/share/Steam/blahblah

First off, I love it!

However, in addition to the troubles getting it to start at all from within steam, the sound is *really* distorted and quite painful to listen to which is a shame because, from I can tell, it's probably quite good.

Doubt I can put it with playing much of it like that though :(

Я тоже прохожу на ubuntu x64, но игра уже похоже давно не поддерживается. Ачивку "What have you done" никак не выбить... Звук играется с проблемами, как и вывод в opengl.

But it's awesome old-school platformer. Very regret for bad supporting on linux...
