Reset Settings
Okay, so I started playing the DEMO and the first thing whenever I start a game is to tweak the settings. So, I was tweaking the graphics settings in-game.

What I did:
1) Lowered shadow quality to "Low"
2) Reduced Resolution
3) Enabled Vsync
4)Applied changes

The screen tore and I couldn't do anything except Ctrl+Alt+Del to task manager and end it. I'm guessing it's the Vsync but I can't find an .ini or anyway to change the settings from outside the game because now it will instantly CTD after launch from steam.

I reinstalled to no avail and google wasn't much help :/

Any help?

I found the configuration file (on windows 7 64 bit) at the address

C:\Users\*myaccount*\Documents\MyGames\DisciplesIII

It is the "user" configuration file in that folder. If you think it is the vSync causing the problem the variable there "int gVSync = 1;" is the one you will want to change.

(the *myaccount* part will be different for each user, however they set it up) In short just go to Documents, My games, Disciples III folder.

You should be able to change most of the stuff you need there. Don't forget to make a backup incase you make a mistake with it. Hope this helps.

Yeah I figured it would be in there so I checked but no disciplesIII folder found anywhere on my system. I think it's not there because it's just the demo and not the full game :/ I wanted to try before I bought it, guess I messed that up!
