Totally agree with you ! Having played Disciples II extensively I had to get used to the new look and feel but now I am pretty comfortable with it. Game is certainly not without flaws and the voice acting is pretty lame but the addictive gameplay makes sure I will waist a lot of time playing this game ! :-)
But a couple questions for those with some more time in.
When you level up and assign stats, do those only effect the main hero or the entire army? It seem just main leader but wanted to be certain.
In the first map theres a place to buy armor. But its for like female warrior, ranger etc. But I see no way to equip anything bu the main character. Is this for a new group/leader?
There was nothing there the main hero could use, so I was a bit confused.
The other question was about leadership, but just fuigured that one out.
The stats are only assigned to the main character. The other charcters will level up too, but you can't control or assign their stats, they just generally get better overall.
You can create new groups of characters with it's own leader in the castles, there you can for example hire the girl warrior as a leader (+ other support units) and buy the specific armor at that armor shop.
I do have 1 other question, and that about Cover. I see it go off in battle sometimes and see where you can set to Auto cover, but fail to see how to do so manually. Any insight on this aspect?
Units level too (they've the same stat set as leaders), and spells, building buffs affect both leader and units.
Campaign hero is unique and you get equipment for him by solving side quests or simply finding the unique item in treasure chests/dungeons.
Shop and other items are ment to use by normal leaders you can hire in your capital and cities.
Cover is not explained properly. Only melee units can use cover in battles, and only if they choose defense option (passing their attack turn). Some support units have special spell to refresh cover points so warrior can cover twice before their next turn. At least that's the way what I think it works.
The cover thing wasn't explained properly, or even at all I don't think.
Much appreciated :)
