Good game, pays homage well to the original and carves its own niche with the changes its made. Some aspects like the masteries and gold required for items feel overly grindy, Endless mode is fun but can be frustrating especially later on when you're basically plunged into darkness.

Characters feel nice and unique, some complex, some arcade feeling, some tactical a nice variety especially when given the variances of their weapons, potions and relics. Difficulty veers wildly from easy to hard, and is generally very stage dependant with the cultists on harder difficulties being the biggest pains.

All in all I recommend it if you're up for a challenge especially with friends as co-op is where the game truly shines.

Holy Mackerel! This game is some jolly good fun! I love a good old dungeon with skeletons and turkeys and whatnot! They don't make classic arcade games like this anymore, that's for gosh diddly dang sure!
