Did you read the UPlay license?
So I came back to play From Dust one more time, and it is now asking..... no, FORCING ME to use this UPLAY thing that wasn't there when I got the game.
Struggled for a while, figured there was an offline mode but needs me to login once, which means I have to create an account for this new service that wasn't there when I purchased.
Okay. Read the license. Did you read the license?

"We may be under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with a legal obligation, or in order to identify, question or prosecute an individual in order to enforce or apply these Terms; or to protect our rights, property, or safety and those of other Users and third parties. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction."

Yes. The license allows them to sell your data to credit card companies.

Is this what Ubisoft calls PC Friendly? And you can't complain without accepting those terms, as their tech support is behind the very same account.
Ubisoft wants to take a dive like EA apparently. Let them have it. They've lost me as a customer too.

How you got THAT from that paragraph is a perfect example of the US public school system at work.

What it says, you mind-numbing idiot, is that they will comply with police or prosecutors if they question them about your usage records. ie. "I could't have been there doing that crime, I was at home playing video games, just check and see!"

The last part I think is mentioning that they will inform other companies of those who commit fraud or throw any malcontents on their service under the bus so no one blames them of "codoning bad behavior" or being "in on it."

hey do I know you from youtube? you're just as friendly.
It SUCH a PERFECT example of the US, only for the small detail that I don't live there. Yes, there is a world outside.
My concern is the second part of the paragraph, but I copied it all for context. Yes, I know that's what that's for... but it's phrased in such a way that it also allows the information to flow the other way around. Guess you didn't catch that. huh.
