Lol! I was just going to come ask that...

I splurged on the deluxe due to the examiner review. Seems alot of people like it and it's underrated. I'm going to say yes it's worth it confidently. Again I haven't played it, but I have yet to see a negative review for it, so it must be really good.
the driving feels very good but not realistic(GTAIV more than forza/dirt/gtr), story is good, missions are varied. considering its ENTIRELY in a vehicle, they do a good job of mixing it up so you dont feel like you are doing the same thing over and over.

Fun driving model. San Francisco. Cop chases among many modes. You can posess other cars including cops and catch the bad guys. An amalagamation of games like Wreckless, Midtown Madness, Crash Time and a few others. Buy it.

Anyone know if it's compatible with a controller?

I used a 360 controller.

The mechanic of possessing other cars to cause head ons, etc is very enjoyable. The driving is not very realistic nor very arcady. A lot of the cars drive like 70s muscle cars, ponderous with a tendency to fishtail like mad. Often times, the computer will drive better than you will, as you're supposed to be possessing the oncoming traffic.

Although the game can be fun, the overall experience for me is ruined by the frame rate dropping below 1 fps if I play the game for more than 40 minutes at a time. Apparently, there's a memory leak the size of Nebraska when transitioning from events, the map and play. I have an nVidia 275 card. Some people feel that the port was very poorly done and really needs a patch.

you should get it, need more people in multiplayer! almost never anyone in the racing mode

It's tremendously good fun! The driving and jumping from car to car is enjoyable (and only essential a handful of times), the graphics are quite good (especially if you have a 3D set-up) and the story is really cool, with the acting of a high level both in terms of CG and voice.

Definitely worth picking up.

I found this video to see what it was like:

I'm seriously considering this game now.

If you notice the game is drab looking. There is an ENB thread on the old forums that significantly makes the game look better.

It's well worth the price it is now, really fun game to play, handling is weighty and fun to play, I use a 360 controller with no problems what so ever, ever one should play this it really is underrated.

I can recommend it to people who like free roaming but it has plenty of replay value anyways

This is a fantastic game. Played it to completion on 360 and at this sale price of £3, you can't go wrong. Great visuals, great driving and the unique mechanic it uses and the plot it ties into lift this above average driving fare. Really, have a go.
