And if it doesn't for you, on the store page there is always a little orange warning telling you about 3rd party DRM. Don't buy games with that warning if they don't work for you.
I know there are notices of DRM and a lot of them don't have issues but UPlay and GFWL (non existent yet still attached to older games) are notorious for wasting peoples time troubleshooting issues or even making games unplayable for people who paid for the games. Steam already has it's own DRM and having to deal with double and triple layers of DRM is an unecessary hassle and causes key validation issues as well as so many others. ( I personally haven't had key issues but I see others who have and I'm not only out to consider myself and my own experience here ;)
You are correct on one thing, I won't be buying games with either of these security measures attached any longer, which only means that the companies who use them will no longer make a dollar off of me and likely many others.
Judging from the amount of people having similar issues if we all come to the same decision that is a lot of money they could have made and now won't, which causes more of a problem for the producers than the gamers.
Which brings me back to the point you seem to have missed, this type of bull$#!^ creates a lot of ill will among gamers and ultimately keeps money out of the companies pockets and I'm pretty sure that's not what they want.
As of now I am on a strict "Don't buy anything made by Ubisoft policy". Ultimately that is more their loss than mine.
After that the Gamecontroller is not able to steering.
Only in this Game.
There are no options for this problem...i dont think that i buy another Gamecontroller for this ♥♥♥♥.
I dont think that Games like this (i loved Driver I & II) are good to my thrust to Steam.
This is a acceptet problem for "Early acces" titles...in my view...not for Games from years ago.
A Big warning "Only Xbox Controllers" or something...that would be great.
In the End...before i buy anything i read a lot in the Community Hub and the Reviews.
Thougt it will help...then i have buyied DayZ (Great reviews...i dont know why...its disgusting) and Spintires wich was good and after every patch the saves gone away...now this Game dont start anyway.
At this time...i dont Buy 3rd Party and or early access.
Singleplayergames are off from automatic Update to protect them from senseless updates wich kills my Savegames.
Have a nice Day.
this crappy u(don't)play (as qoted) is horrible wont start every time i try to play i get the same message "uplay has crashed" it does so everytime i start and it says loking for updates. its not even funny i spent money i wokred for on sh1t i could of bought something so much better that could of worked but becuase i liked the other drivers i thought hey lets give this a go and uplay just gave me a NO. f*ck this sh*t. NEVER BUY A GAME BUY UBISOFT/UPLAY! ull just lose money
thanks
I can't believe Nerd3 was actually right bout something(That was a sarcastic comment, he has a good batting average of being right, :D)
Launcher keeps crashing. I can't play what I paid for.
gg Ubisoft; ♥♥♥♥ your ♥♥♥♥♥♥ scam of a company
Most of the issues with this game is due to compatibility not uplay. If you find the .exe file for the game usually in its file in steam or ubisoft you can right click it and go to properties, then compatibility mode and check the box to run it under windows 7 or just run the compatibility troubleshooter right there and let it do it. GL. This is the fix... usually.
