"Ray of Hope" Quest - Need Help!

I've declared war on Guy Forcas and need to rescue the "Mysterious Prisoner" from his island. Supposedly, there may be "battle tested forces in the area" who can help me do this, but I've gotten stumped. I tried the robber barons but they only were able to build a castle on his island. I can't get them to actually do anything. Any ideas?

I don’t know if you are talking about the campaign; you have to recue lord Northburg from an island: if it’s not this may be the same issue anyway.

The robbers install a castle as you told (if you build port can work too to disembark). The robbers should be there in the island, then you should issue an “attack order” where you think the prisoner is.

This is tricky and bad explained because you must click a single spot in particular (in the case I talk was a single tower in the whole fortress); and if I am not wrong you may need to click twice.

I finally figured it out. I had to advance to a level where I could build a keep and from it, a big military camp. Once I built it, I had to move them to the island in question, make camp, then move the camp again until they were in range of the tower. It was so confusing to get to that point and I had to search for "Anno" instead of "Dawn of Discovery" to find even a clue of a solution.
