how does the refund chest work..?
will it be accessible from anywhere (part of inventory or something)?
I, as I'm sure most will have more than can be added to inventory and will have to spend some time getting new storage locations secured
~ thanks for the heads-up
When you have a refund pending and you join the server a chest will be placed near you which only you can open and is invulnerable. This chest will contain your refunded items.
This counts as unfair griefing for people in overflows being merged with main servers in PvP
Seriously tho, I'm picking these guys should be able to defend themselves pretty well. Rank, gear, abilities and mad skillz will be coming with them after all. If you're worried, maybe build a small secured base first, then empty the rest of the chest?
@Matt, Looking forward to having less posts about merges. Thanks for the heads-up.
Will stuff on moons/other planets appear in refund chests on said moons/planets or also on the home planet?
I currently have a full inventory and two full lvl6 chests, along with quite some buildings on various planets. Do I have not have to worry in any way to lose anything or do I need to throw away enough so everything I have fits in one chest (aka: will there be a giant refund chest or several spawning (so it has endless space)?
edit) there's seriously no ingame notification after login about this at all?
No, it wouldn't. Overflow servers were intended to be removed.
Nulling progress for players on the original servers would not be fair.
It's a nice thing that they save our character rank from overflows.
Although info about overflow server intention could've been more pronounced ;P
