Copyright claim Merlin Beggars
Due to a third party copyright claim from Merlin Beggars I will not be uploading any more videos on this game, which is a shame as I really enjoyed recording it and my subscribers seemed to enjoy the gameplay footage as well as my reactions. As it stands I think game of thrones will be my last TellTale games playthrough. I just wondered if any of the ret of you have had a similar experiance and what you are doing about it too

Same thing just happened to me today since I streamed it last night and posted it today. I got two third party claims both from the same group one from the beginning of the game and another on the part when you're running away from the deal as Fiona. I've had a lot of problems with merlin with a few games like Metal Gear Rising and Far Cry 4 as of lately. In my experience with them it doesn't matter if you try to make a case that's legitimate all they will do is hit the decline button and forget about it.

What type of claim was it? Audio, Visual, or both?

the name your referring too "Merlin Beggars" aka "Merlin Engine " aka "merlin" and such. They are all false and illegal claims done by the same party. There are several videos, postings, and reports about this on many other things like user vlogs, other games, documentaries, and such. Just contact the developers, phone, email, forum, or whatever. They will remove it for you..unless it was by another legit person who made music for the game called "merlin" but I do not think that is the case. Anyway, Here is their contact us page, everything you need to get in touch with them should be there. http://www.telltalegames.com/company/contact/

Meh, that merlin scam is popular on a lot of videos, this is what you do:

- Open the Video Manager (on your YouTube profile)
- Find the video in question
- Click on the "Matched third party content" link
- Scroll down ald click on "File a dispute"
- Select an option you like the most
- When it asks you to provide a reason, make sure to write it's a scam, they dont own anything

After a few days you will recieve an e-mail like this:

NOTE: it didn't took 30 days, maybe 3-4 in my case.

Video works now:

There are a lot of people faking claims out there. This might become frequent but I urge you to ALWAYS do some research. Sometimes it's real even when it seems impossible.

I don't understand how said false claims account arent getting said people banned?

the reason why these people are not getting banned is because youtube content id system is a joke, period. It's such a joke that anyone can fake being a company like...lets say "valve" here. Then place claims on any and all videos containing valve content, thus forcing people to forgo all earning earned on said video to the false valve man. It's really not that hard. It's just understanding how to use the system at all is the difficult part.

Yep, those streamers and let's playters are cut-throat. I used to have a series let's playing Euro Truck Simulator 2. Got flagged so often that I took them down just to be done with it. Even though Pavel gives everybody free use for streaming and let's play for SCS-titles, youtube-peeps will do everything to keep their viewers. That includes falsely flagging using throw-away accounts. Welcome to the wonderful of the internet, where being a bottomfeeding azzhole is accepted culture.

Uh, these aren't YouTubers that are doing this. They're just regular run-of-the-mill scam artists. The same people who send out Nigerian Prince emails and sell fake insurance to the elderly.

Yeah, on youtube I got a Copyright Strike due to this. I don't really see how it's fair. Because other people can post that one type of video, but I can't..

There are two different ways a video can be flagged on Youtube. Content ID is when the copyright holder will flag it but that video shouldn't be taken down just the monetisation for person who uploaded it is no longer posible. A take down strike is completly different and can be contested and Youtube should actually support you in doing so.
