From 6 servers to 0
Hi. Just wonder if there's anything still under devlopment here. I wanted to log back to blast some roids and after reclaiming base and trying to start over, I've come to the conclusion that no servers seems to be actually opened. It would be nice to have some inputs as there's been no new things added, or change since over a month now I think. So what's up with the game?

Agreed. A refund is appropriate. Early Access is about unfinished games and players should expect bugs and incomplete features. But Asteroids was nowhere near a state that should have been published in ANY form. Closing down all servers demonstrates clearly that there is no intent to finish the game.

Salty used an old and "trusted" title to make people invest 30 EUR in an unplayable game that frankly stains Atari's and Steam's reputation - and damages the legit "early access" titles.

Is anyone able to get in? Just curious if any one can. I've submitted a ticket directly to Atari. Let's see what they come back with.

I cant log in ,, game starts up . and tells me that servers are Online. i can see a few of em. and the top three have 1 person in em. the others ones are empty. When i click one to join. The loading screen comes up and the game crashes to desktop.

Brooomide, that's what I get too.. Waiting for a response from Atari.
Really disappointed in pretty much everything about this game. Typically I'm not sour grapes when I willingly invest in a game still in development that doesn't turn out to my liking, but this is a bit absurd. A few hours of (rather dull) gameplay ... and as far as I can see, not really any word on where this game is going. I'd definitely like a refund.

nice .. let me know If they actually do anything about it.
I will not get my hopes up. Because atari is no more than a name with a great legacy.

@steam If developers get their chance to distribute a game on steam and they ask money for it. Than after the first few weeks they cash out and leave customers to be. Something like that is not good for the company we all love and that would be steam.

I mean its published under the Alpha state " as in not ready " but it does feel a little bit like a " loophole" for a possible scam to me.

Lets hype a great concept, get some in game artwork, make a game like executable. Ask money for it, And alot too !!

Leave the game and say F all.

I've got the same thing. I see a few servers - try to join - cannot connect - crash. 10 days now, since I've hit this roadblock. Given how long this has been a problem, and how long it has been since an update or any communication from the developers, I'd say this game just went the same way as The Stomping Lands.
I'm surprised that an established name like Atari would behave like this. This game is still on their official website, so I decided to check their forums for any information. The Atari forum link doesn't work, but only takes you to an advertisement page for the latest "Alone in the Dark", game. Guess where it's being released? - Steam. (Cue sound of a train wreck.)
Given that this game is no longer playable, I can't help but hear McCoy saying. "He's dead, Jim."
I just hope that Valve will finally take some real action. Early access shouldn't be a license to cheat people without consequence.

I hate to hear this happened to all of you. But thank you for the warning to stay away from this title. Hopefully you folks can get your money back. I will scratch this one from my wish list.

It's back up.. I still haven't heard anything from Atari. Emailed them twice.
