Beta Branch

There is now a beta branch that you can opt in. The beta branch is intend for players interested in getting the latest features and helping me out fix the latest bugs. If you are reading this, you're probably the right person to join the beta. :)

If you have the chance and are willing to deal with a bit of occasional buggyness, please consider joining, it really helps me improve the game.

To opt in, just go to the game properties in Steam, go to the beta tab and choose the beta branch from the list. The game should then automatically update to the latest version. When reporting a bug you've found, please mention that you are on the beta branch.

Beta released today (Jan 15th, 2017) Was playing prebeta before so I know its the patch, but the editor was soooo slow and laggy. Had to immediatly revert to non beta.

Had an update, tried beta. No issues anymore, so far. I'll keep ya posted.

Is there a way to back up my campaign before I opt in? That way I can restore my campaign when I go back to non-beta? Is there a folder I can back up?

I found a folder under "...(user)documents/mygames/bossconstructor" Looks like there are save files and backups for your exploration ship and game state. But I haven't tested this. I assume those are game save files.

@Fox Most patches don't effect save game compatibility. But to be on the safe side, as Asher suggests, backing up that folder could be good. :)

I've played the latest patch for about 3 hours and I have to say I haven't found any problems. I'm still early campaign so I can't vouch for existing/undiscovered performance or balancing issues but just wanted to say that so far - so good! :)
