The Lord of the Rings: War in the North

The Lord of the Rings: War in the North

Cpu usage at 100%
So I bought this game for a friend and I to play. After getting out of Bree and into the first forested area I checked my afterburner and was getting cpu usage at 100% on all cores and crazy high temps. It isnt causing problems but I dont want to continue playing without trying to sort it. Any ideas? Running it on a Gtx 770 and intel i7 4820k at 3.7

If your using the cooler that came with your CPU, get a better one.

You can get a liquid coller one for abour £20-£30.
I actually have water cooler. The temps arent dangerously high just very high for my cpu much higher than things like modded arma, the new deus ex. I mean the game is from 2011. Was just seeing if there is a way to sort it there obviously is not. It is unfortunate because the couple hours I played of this game I gotta say it struck me as a hidden gem.

Open up your case and make sure it's free from dush, fluf and such.

Check the CPU has enough paste on it.

Add extra case fans to help with cooling.

Make sure there is space around the case to let hot air escape.

Check what is running in the background, this might be the problem.

lol all of the other comments dont help, the game itsself is just really unoptimized, youre just gonna have to live with a 100% cpu usage. like i get that too but its ok since its capped at 60 and preactically stays there.
