Is there any gamepad support?

Not really. Theoretically you are able to manually switch controls and set each gamepad button but even if you do that, you cannot configure your sticks.

it looks like there's platforming/action sequences. would a controller make those parts easier?

Yeesh, why no Gamepad support? Seems to suit the game fine ...

We have been playing around with it, but it still felt really awkward since you had to control the cursor with one of the sticks. Also some puzzles became really hard, especially when you had to grab objects flying with precision.

I do have to say that no controller support is the only thing preventing me from buying the game.

i don't mind controlling the cursor with an analog stick...didn't Broken Age have time sensitive puzzles with the controller?

What about controller support but switch back to mouse for certain puzzles (if wanted)?
Because moving and around and things like this would definitely be better using a controller

Controller support is a must for these kind of games, please add it!

Would still be nice as an option, it's awkward but you could just revert to the mouse again if you had to for a particular puzzle.

I agree with everybody. This game looks super interesting, but I prefer playing on my couch with a controller.

Furthermore, I think this game might actually be really good for the upcoming steam controller regarding controls. So I am wondering if you plan to support that gamepad later on (though it still is a few months).
And as mentioned it would be nice to have gamepad support now, one could always revert to mouse for particularly tricky puzzles.

Except for missing gamepad support I like the game so far but I just bought it so I am not yet too far.

You guys probably already know this, but you can map keyboard & mouse movements to a controller using a program such as Xpadder or Joy2Key.

Thanks for replying. If you offer some time I would love to be part of a team that tests out a controller version of the game and give my honest feedback about my experience.

I can't believe this game does not have support for the Xbox 360's controller.
