[Homebrew 14] Crash / Lag issues
If you're experiencing a crash in Homebrew 14, there are a couple of things you can try.

Open your output log first (located in ../steam/steamapps/common/Homebrew Vehicle Sandbox/hb146_Data/), on the top it will show something like this
Initialize engine version: 5.2.1f1 (44735ea161b3) GfxDevice: creating device client; threaded=1 Direct3D: Version: Direct3D 11.0 [level 11.0] Renderer: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 (ID=0x13c2) Vendor: NVIDIA VRAM: 3072 MB

If Renderer is showing up as your APU, Go to your GPU's configuration panel (Nvidia Control Panel / AMD Catalyst Center), and force Homebrew to use your GPU

Try running again and see if it crashes.

If it still crashes, you can try forcing DX9, You can do this by Right clicking on Homebrew in your Library, and changing the Launch Options to "-force-d3d9"
like so

Try launching, and see if it still crashes.

If it does, Respond to this thread with your output log, either in code tags, or by uploading it to Hastebin[www.hastebin.com] or Pastebin[www.pastebin.com], and link the file IN THIS THREAD .

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Igniuss

*EDIT*
Forcing to DX9 mode currently breaks the UI, a patch is underway to fix these issues (and other DX9 related issues/glitches)

*EDIT*
It is recommended to TURN OF SHADOWS in Homebrew, as they currently have a memory leak associated with them, which in turn will crash Homebrew once it reaches 4GB of Memory (32-bit limits and stuff)

In the other thread you mentioned forcing Homebrew to use the GPU, I don't think Intel HD Graphics integrated supports that.
you only have an Intel HD Graphics? No actual GPU?

Not entirely sure it will /: Currently we're looking into fixing dx9 mode, I'm not sure why intel HD graphics are being such a pain in the ass though.
Every crash we've had that's reproducable was on an Intel HD APU. We'll deff look into getting a fix for this though.

You'd help the devs a lot if you post your crash log, "ya I crashed" helps no one.
I'm talking to him right now on chat ^^ still need to find a fix though

I am using the Force DX9 option, which seems to work except for the fact that I see no menu once I get the game launched; i see the robot man, and everything renders, but no menu or set of options shows up. A bit confused, frankly.

You should be able to just force your GPU to use it in your control panel (Nvidia Control panel / AMD Catalyst Center)

the second thing "fixed" the error. the new problem, the menu options wont appear. I just see the robot moving back and forth in place, the waves moving. no menu options.

this is what It said after I forced DX9
http://pastebin.com/fySE2uft
it is trying to lock the null vertex buffer and index buffer. i dont understand it very much, but I know it has to do with the fact that my homescreen wouldnt load.
