I'm so glad that you came here to make a post that would help establish a game developed by an indie dev rather than extolling the glory of a game developed by a very well established developer.

[/sarcasm]
No one is playing Toxic. This "indie" game is dead.

1) Arena shooters never die. Good ones, at least. They have a stubborn band of fans that play it constantly, so a low player count means nothing.

2) I gave QC a fair chance. Needless to say, I went back to QL pretty fast.

A consistent 0 players is when a game is completely and officially dead. At the point in time when I'm typing this post, Toxikk has 8 players total. That is enough to completely fill one server and result in an entertaining match.
"But that's one server, so it must be dead," I know you'll declare.
Yeah.
It is one server.
One server that is 100% full bar spectators.
One server that could have eight people on it having quite a bit of fun.

Again, your focus on insisting that people migrate to and never return from a game developed by a well-known and well-funded developer is concerning and partially disturbing. Would you extol the supposed glory of QC if it wasn't made by iD Software and then published by Bethesda, and rather a small band (like Reakktor) that doesn't have name-brand recognition or more than enough money laying around to do everything they could want to in the game?

Just another bored troll fishing for attention. Even writes TOXIKK wrong for extra bait.

We thought about a TOXIKK $1 million world championship[www.polygon.com], ...but didn't find the time to organize it.
