Mods on Multiplayer

Is it possible to play a multiplayer game using a mod? I want to play with my cousin using ACM

i played the RAW mod with my friend and it worked after we both installed a patch.

It depends on if he has the steam version of FOC or a disc copy, and if the republic at war AI is installed or not.

No, I mean how did he have a multiplayer game with a mod. My cousin has the Steam version, same as me. I need to know how to load a mod into a multiplayer game.

ACM is possible. It is as easy as vanilla multiplayer. Both of you need to just have the mod, and then you create a game. Simple.

The way mods work for this game is, you load up the mod (most the time you can make sure you are running the mod because the Mod's name will be on the Main Menu) and then just proceed like you normally would in Multiplayer. You do know how to run mods on Steam, correct? If not, all you have to do is, right click the game in Steam and go to properties and then launch options. Then type "swfoc MODPATH=Mods\ACM2.4" assuming that you have ACM 2.4, if you have another version of the mod, or have renamed the folder, then just replace "ACM2.4" in the string with whatever the folder for the mod is named. Then just run FoC.

You do also need to make sure that you and your cousin are both running the same version of the mod, and any patches at all. I do not recall any patches for ACM2.4, but that goes for any mod - if one of you has a patch, the other has to have it too. The latest version of ACM is in fact 2.4.

Weird thing is, I have tested RaW with my copy of Retail Gold pack with a friend on Steam. Even when I did not install the RaW AI, I still could not play with my friend (he does not have it either). I have found that the Ram Patch that Lucasarts rolled out somehow allows Retail Gold and Steam Gold to play with each other (only if the Retail Gold person takes their "pre-patch" saves out, though, because it won't work if you have saves from before you applied the patch) but for some reason it still will not work. I have yet to test other mods, I would like to test some others though, and actually ACM is a good subject.

for steam if you want to play multiplayer with mods, all you have to do is both have the same mod and one of you host a game on multiplayer. its that simply!

Wanted to ask if this is any way still possible. I've been trying it for the past few hours, reading everything about 3 times over, and I still can't seem to get it to work.

If anyone has any input, it'd be much appreciated.
