One of the best in the adventure genre, a must-play for any pirates, scoundrels, or anyone who wants to put their mind to work. I love this game, and if you're into the point-and-click genre like I am, I cannot recommend it enough.

The second installment in a legendary series of old school point and click adventure game revamped for modern systems.

Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: LeChuck's Revenge is a continuation to the story of The Secret of Monkey Island continuing the franchise with everything you come to love and expect of the series. Similarly, it has been given the same treatment as The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition being made to be compatible with newer systems and having improved graphics and sound. It also has the original pixel graphics and music baked into the game as well so you are once again able to flawlessly switch between the two to experience the game in its old glory.

Compared to The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition, the art style is done slightly differently but nonetheless is still very good. It is recommended to play the first game before going into this one as it's a continuation of the story and there are characters and references from the first game, if you're just into playing point & click adventures and solving puzzles then its still a good game to pick up. The humor, silliness, and unconventional puzzles are still intact and you definitely won't be disappointed to continue the adventures of Guybrush Threepwood.
Personally, the issue I have is the ending where its basically a cliffhanger and so vague where the next game then picks off completely like the end didn't happen?

There are achievements on this one and most are tied to the story while there are a few that's out of the way but they aren't difficult at all but may require a second playthrough to get them all, be sure to check the achievements list.

Gameplay
The game plays like most others in the genre and won't be difficult to get into. It is more dialogue heavy and other than the usual puzzles there are quite a number of unconventional puzzles that you'll need to put more thought to solving.
Like the previous game, there are chapters you go through as you progress. Unlike the previous game you are not limited to Melee Island and Monkey Island only and go through more islands expanding the Monkey Island universe with more zany characters and landmarks.
