You know, the original Monkey Island 2 didn't have the hint system, but it did have an "easy" mode which skipped a whole heap of puzzles and did others differently. It was therefore probably easier overall.
I play with gamepad and it's awful. This is one of the worst adventure games i've played.
Well there's your problem. The game is meant to be played with a mouse and keyboard. Normally, I'm all for playing with the gamepad, but for adventure games, I make exceptions. And it's not that bad.. The puzzles were fairly decent. The jokes were fairly decent too. COMI still holds top spot for me though. What do you judge bad by?
