You can try using the nvida control panel to enhance/override game settings.

So first you make the asumsion that every one in the workd is running Nvidia GPU's that is a tall leap and thank god not true. Some of us like using quality GPU's instead of Nvidia. Second that has nothing to do with wether high detail is being turned on or not in his game.

ok.........................................................................................................................

To the OP, tell us exactly what you cannot do (what settings you cannot apply) instead of saying something thats so generic and tells us nothing about the specifics of your problem.

The game simply doesn't look that good. Levels based on artificial structures like your first mission on the station are OK, but levels on natural enviorements look really crappy. The LoD is bad also, you can see how the detail change only a few meters away from your character. I'm in Felucia now and is terrible, you can see things appearing from nowhere in the background. Not to mention clipping and the feeling that everything was done in a rush.

And that's high detail, I don't even want to imagine how it look in low detail xD

Roguetwo, that's not what i asked for. Well for
decimus; i press play on star wars the force unleashed ultimate sith edition, then comes the launcher menu, then there is the high detail option. i turn that off, test out the game, then quit because i don't like low detail graphics. so i quit the game do the same thing, press then comes the launcher, i press high detail then press play. I play the prologue (the one you play as Darth Vader) and everything is low detail. then i quit the game go launcher, high detail is on, i press play, and every thing is still low detail. wtf?

Sounds like you are playing on high detail, just the game looks so bad on PCs. I know, I was horrified when I saw the game too on PC for the first time. I played it years ago on the xbox360 and back then I thought it looked not bad, but some games just age so pooprly..

Oh so you played the game in low detail, then in high and it looks the same?
Maybe the changes are minimal, like less shadows, worse texture filter and less special effects. Something less obvious than draw distance or character detail, for example.

But like I said before, I'm pretty sure you are playing the game in high detail, is just that the game looks bad anyway xD
If you can, post a screenshot of the two versions. I will check later if I have time too.

no no wrong it does
maybe i need a new graphics card?
Vrenusdeathstar45 Jun 22, 2013 @ 6:04am
they both; high and low, are equal. Shadows the same, textures the same, and evrything else is the same!
