Ok, this was a first class RPG in its time but aged somewhat. It's not easy gaming like today with reasonable autosaves before the boss, handholding and quest arrows. You may even break quests, lose nice items and relationships.
Plays much like any of the old Bioware games with funky companions, backstory and a big surprise in the plot.
If you played Neverwinter Nights - it's the same AD&D 3rd edition engine complete with some of the assets (music, sound, textures etc.) So the ruleset is deep and has a steep learning curve.
For a Star Wars fan it's a must buy. You play in the years of the old republic some thousands of years before episode 4. They have lightsaber combat with the original sound effects from the movies. Certainly the best RPG type Star Wars game on PC. The story was even considered canon before Disney bought the franchise and cut all ends off.
-lightsabers and blasters
-murderous killer droid companion
-all Star Wars tropes covered
-dated look and presentation
-> For Star Wars and old-school-Bioware-RPG -fans,
