maybe u should try it under the Options in Steam...like "Library...The Secret of Monkey Island SE....Preferences....Languages" In the most times u can choose it there (like all Games in Steam)

Sí, al comenzar el juego te da la opción de jugar en todos los idiomas.. (todo subtítulos, las voces están sólo en inglés).. de todos modos es de los mejores juegos de aventura gráfica de todos los tiempos vale la pena jugarlo.

English, I would assume, because it is the original language of the game and the most widely used one. Shouldn't be too bad with German subs.

And then, you may still be able to choose, not sure.

Anyways, it is good there is no German audio, because our country is one of the worst when it comes to voice translation quality.
I can't remember ever having a game with German audio (even when the game came from Germany, lol) where I haven't thought: "Wow. Just wow. This is abysmal. Where is the English switch?"
Some games I flat out refuse to play if they force me to use German audio (luckily, this doesn't happen often. Not anymore, at any rate.)

Same with me...english games have a much better atmosphere.
The problem I have on Steam is that I can't SEE in which language I can play the games until I install them (after buying and downloading them and risking to get no refund...)
For example a couple of weeks ago: Call of Duty 1, CoD2 and CoD: World at War... I bought all these on sale and thought they would be in english. NO, they were all in GERMAN and i can't change it to english.
The only way to change it would be to use other patches or files which aren't from Steam.

I find the Store pages realy confusing if it comes to supported languages and changed versions of the game (like low violence, etc)

Store page should tell you if you are "froce locked" to a language and low violence?
There should be that orange/red bounded box below the screenshots telling you this.
(It doesn't when you already own the game, I believe)

If it doesn't, then you have good grounds to demand a refund.

So far, I was lucky, because I just skipped games where that box appeared.

If you are sure those boxes didn't show on the store, have you looked in the game files?
Maybe other language folders are in there, or the config files have a line to change for english/whatever audio / text?

Possibly even windows registry - there you can sometimes also change the language, even when it's a hex code (you then obviously just google for the correct language code).

And if all else fails, and it's indeed German only without indicating this in the Store, then it's plain false advertising and you could write a support ticket to Valve, maybe.

And now we are seriously off-topic, apologies to OP ;)
