Linux - Working perfectly with wine

Working perfectly on Linux (Debian Wheezy 7.8 AMD64 - Nvidia 343.36 - Kernel 3.18.1)
Nearly as fast as Windows.

I7 3770K + 16Go RAM + GTX660Ti, 1080p everything maxed out + Xbox360 controller (xboxdrv)
Use at least Wine 1.7.31. CSMT patch recommended.

You don't need to install anything else but Steam (don't forget -no-dwrite). NO WINETRICKS required -> PLATINUM RATING

What has been tested: Everything -> Gameplay, settings, connection to online server, Online battles, Game cleared.

I've had no success in Mint 17 with Wine 1.6.4 and 1.7.34.

Update: Game cleared with 1.7.31.

Hubble: Try to install in a clean 32bits prefix. Use latest Nvidia/Amd Drivers (don't forget to install 32 bits libraries for compatibility issues) and launch the game via command line to see error messages. It might help you to fix it.

I've switched from a GTX 460 to an R9 290 since my last comment. The game works just fine now.
