Old version of Loom?
I have to say, I'm not really fond of this new version of Loom. I miss the cutscenes. Is there any way I can get the old version on Steam, or is there only the new version with all the voice acting?

...I will say, however, that the music is stunning.

Try this out,
http://steamreview.org/external/loom/

Not sure if it is still active but should be.
Was just considering buying Loom after 20 years of curiousity and wanted to know which versions were out there.

Can't seem to buy it on steam though, it just sends me back to the main store page.

Thank you very much! I remember playing the original Loom (and then that computer broke, so the game went bye-bye) and this new version is just not cutting it for me.

I would love to see LucasArts revive Loom like they did for Monkey Island

Thanks, Westwick. It works. I think I'll enjoy playing it again.

Find the Amiga version if you can. I've beaten literally every version of this game, even down to the FM Towns edition, and the Amiga is easily the best.

Thanks for this, I have never played this game before but I like the old school feel of it. Plus you said the new version doesn't have any close ups and those close ups make me laugh :)

If you're having a hard time running this version what you do is this! ;v) Go download the old DOS version then go download DOSBox! ;v) Problem solved! ;v)

I didn't get it... After I downloaded FM-TOWNS.zip, where should I unzip it?

I have to admit, this game has been sitting in my library for some time now and I've yet to try this version. I have fond memories of the game back in the old Amiga days but only ever had the floppy disk version so no voices... I really have got to get around to trying this version out for that. it is a shame that it has some scenes removed though

maybe one day we'll get a remake which gives us full voices, full cinematics and everything all in the same version along with some shiny new widescreen graphics to boot... and a sequel?
I can dream
