New Major Update Coming Soon
wanted to post an update that work is ramping up on a new major update for Motorsport Revolution. We've gotten some valuable feedback from the player base and we want to get as many of these changes into the update.

Most notably, Motorsport Revolution is being upgraded from Unity 4.7 to Unity 5.2. This will result in several visual and physics improvements as the entire game will be converted from skyshop to the new Unity physically based rendering system. This update also includes a change to the physx system, resulting in more responsive and realistic behaviors for all vehicles.

Even though there are no retail VR HMDs on the market, are focus has been and continues to be a compete VR racing experience. With this in mind, we will be updating the build with the latest Steam OpenVR SDK which will maintain compatibility for all top shelf HMDs such as the Oculus rift. And for those players without a VR display, we are adding more race UI to the HUD including lap time and track map overview.

Lastly, we have hit some performance bugs with the current AI driving system and will be updating all of the AI opponents to a new physics rig, which will both improve overall performance and responsiveness to the AI.

We expect that we will have this update competed a soon as Fri, October 9. But will have more information when the final update has been posted.

October 9th 2015. Ok, a third of a year later and STILL waiting..? Any news or has this been abandoned?! I purchased this based on a major update supporting the DK2. About time to pursue a refund I guess..

Sorry for the delay, Oculus is changing the SDK release schedule weekly before a retail launch. As we are in the Beta program, we have decided to wait until the hardware had been finalized before we push another update of the SDK.

Sounds reasonable. Thanks for the communication.

Looks like 1.3 is stable on the DK2 and CV1. Any word on an update?

Most likely we will not be using the Oculus SDK anymore as Valves OpenVR offers support for that runtime, as well as the HTC Vive HMD. We will be begin working on updating to this latest SDK as soon as the Vive ships this week.
