Even on sale, not worth... It's just the players who should be paid to experiment that unfinished and buggy half done work.
Don't believe the 3 buddies of ther develloper who posted good reviews.
5 dollars man !!! A lil job should be done to ask that.

That's funny, because I think this is one of the finest indie puzzle games I've played since Toki Tori and Tetrobot and Co. It's definitely not as polished as those games (probably because of a smaller development team), and the final level was a letdown to me, but there are lots of really good stuff to find out here, especially once you get to play with multiple characters.

If you're not a puzzle games guy, then stay away from it. If you are, though, I think it's a fantastic purchase and it can be bought super-cheap when it goes on sale! :)

Edit: Just checked my playtime. I bought this game for ~80 cents on a sale and got over 20 hours of fun out of it! Yeah, that sucks balls I guess... :P

Hey OP, why don't you go back to the center of the earth or 20,000 leagues under the sea and STAY there. Or play something more your speed like candyland.

Parcel is one of the best games I've got on Steam. I have a lot of puzzle games (21) and Parcel's #2 after Toki Tori 1 (unless you put Talos Principle & Portal in, in which case it's #4).

I met a few small bugs, but I'd say less than average, and they were all minor or inconsequential.

The biggest issue is it seems abandoned - the studio's gone silent. But it's easily finished and release worthy.

Perhaps the demo is worse than the game? If its bad/buggy then maybe they forgot to update?

Edit: Other worthy mentions:
  • Blockwick (simple but intelligent puzzles).
  • SpaceChem (not simple, kinda programmingish).
  • Scarab Tales. (good idea, buggy implementation though).
  • Hive. (#1 board game on Earth, implementation kinda mediocre though).

Why do you think this game is unfinished? (not as accusation but curiosity)

Well, I think he's just a troll looking for an argument, but I can kind of agree that the game feels a bit unfinished:
    - I ran into some bugs while playing. IIRC, most annoying one was the music stops playing after restarting a level.
    - The menus feel a bit like beta and look out of place compared to the aesthetics of the 3D game world.
    - The user interface could be more informative: In the later levels it's kind of hard to keep track of which characters are used and which are not, so you end up 1-2-3-4-5-6-ing a lot of times. This could have been easily addressed with a HUD showing the characters in the level and which is the active one.
    - As I said in my previous post, the last level was dumb and anticlimatic, especially compared to the previous Reactor puzzle which was small and great.
    - Full KB & Mouse support would have been awesome, especially in the level editor.

I still really love the game, but can't help feeling that it got abandoned just when a little extra effort would have made it absolutely brilliant!

To add on to this thread, TheGlecter is entirely right. Circumstances led to the studio closure and things lost due to a rush to release, but the game itself is great and fun to play - we released what we could at the time. We're really happy the game has 93% positive reviews on Steam and people love it, but we wish we could have done more to really polish it a tiny bit more. We hope you enjoy what we managed to put out :)
