Another issue is that we don't have a Vive devkit to test with to begin with.
A viable solution could otherwise be to ask the Budget Cuts devs with Vive implementation if we are unable to do it ourselves. They are good friends of mine and former students of Sjoerd, which is actually how we all met. True story.
I would rather not spoil my experience by playing it on my (4k) monitor. Not even eyefinity comes close. I'd like to play in VR first time!
Is it soooo different to implement compared to the Rift? damn :( Seated experience + keyboard&mouse would be the best thing.
My Vive should be coming next month.
So please hurry up.
j/k :D
After that we need to upgrade Unreal Engine and that is a big job. Once that is out of the way, takes like a week to possibly 2, we can verify it with the Vive and make some adjustments where needed. Looking at a Vive ready experience towards the end of the month, possibly Episode 4.
Glad to hear you buy the game based on my name :)
And very sorry for having your name mistyped. "Hourences". I didn't check what I was typing.
Take your time as much as needed to get it right. Nobody should be upset if it delays a little. At least it looks like it's coming. :O
