Fraps not recording well with this
Hi. I'm having problems with my Fraps recording this (as you may of gathered). It's just that whenever I record it records it in some weird resolution (I'm not entirely sure what it is) . If you want to see the problem I'm having then here it is:

fraps is a very outdated recording program.
it reduce the ingame fps.
low fps with games from telltale will effect the animations.

try the free msi afterburner or buy dxtory for recording. they both dont effect the ingame fps

uhhuh, that's a lie, nothing is truly transparent unless you use hardware to split the video signal & record to a second computer/device

as for OP, you didnt bother to look at the resolution in the game settings & if fraps is set to full or half size?

Fraps outdated? I use Fraps all the time and got no issue. FPS doesn't even move.

Best recording software out there!

I updated fraps and it is running full screen. What I realised due to kn00tcn's comment was that I had the in game settings on a lower resolution. Thanks for all of your help guys :)

Fraps is "bad" compared to the free MSI Afterburner recording function or DxTory.
Cause Fraps reduce the FPS of a game most to the recording FPS. DxTory doesnt effect the FPS of a game at all. In MSI Afterburner and DXTory you have a lot more settings and features.
For example recording multiple audio sources like your microphone and the windows sound (from the game). I mean separated so you can mix them after your recording.

But in general the engine of telltale have a problem with recoding software that hooks into the game.
