People seem to generally overlook this game when it comes to Telltale. It's a really funny, charming game. It's got a Fargo/Twin Peaks thing going on with a cute chalky visual style and animation with a lot of fun, challenging puzzles, sort of like Professor Layton. It's also quite creepy and very atmospheric at times, despite its cute and comedic style. You play a puzzle division FBI agent sent to investigate an eraser factory that has stopped production in the strange town of Scoggins, where everyone has some insane addiction to puzzles. I found it to be really engaging and the pacing and challenge was just right. The puzzles are very fair, and you can collect usable hints in the form of chewed up gum.
Only downsides are that it is a little on the short side and it ends strangely suddenly, perhaps anti-climactically. It feels like there was still more story to tell. Perhaps this is a cliffhanger for Puzzle Agent 2 to continue further. I don't know, I haven't played Puzzle Agent 2 yet, but now I definitely want to. If you like mysteries and point-and-click adventure games or puzzles, this game is very much worth a look, and $5 is a good price for it.
