Patch 1.1.4 BETA (For people with save game issues)

Public Beta:

To get the progress-recovery fix in to the hands of end-users faster, we’re offering it as a public beta. This fix has been through testing but we’re not yet comfortable to release it to the public at large. However, for those who have lost progress / unlocks but whose rank is still intact, we believe this patch (1.1.4) will resolve your issue. If your rank has been affected by the underlying issue, you will still need to contact customer support so that we can attempt to recover any data that may be available.

Back up your saves before opting in:

• Temporarily disable steam cloud (right click on the game in your Steam library, select properties, select the “Updates” tab, and untick the Steam Cloud synchronization at the bottom).
  
• Copy the files in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\SniperElite4 to somewhere safe.

Opting in:

• Right click the game in your Steam library, select properties, and select the “Betas” tab.
  
• Select “public_beta” from the drop down list.
  
• The game should immediately queue an update. If it doesn’t, restarting Steam might be necessary.
  
• When you next run the game it should detect that your unlocks don’t match your progress through the game.
  
• If that is detected it will re-issue all the armoury tokens for your current progress, and all weapons will reset to locked. This means you can either unlock everything you had previously, or choose to spend the tokens differently.
  
• Note you will have to set up your customised loadouts again, including reselecting character skills.
  
• Weapon upgrades and mastery skins will unlock automatically if you have completed the necessary requirement.
  
• Campaign levels should also unlock, though unfortunately this will not recover collectables or challenge completion so those will have to be re-completed.

lost my rank and unlocks but im still on the same mission...

Don't work for me,still lvl50 with locked bonus...and unlock only skin for M1911 from DLC. And need now 50hadshot with Thomson again.

Ok,find old backup save that have 128kb,work perfectly with them...but sorry...Better stay with locked bonus for lvl and all unlock.I play on hardcore and find all collectible again and dont have any interes to replay from start now...
Make to work this patch with save that have 2Mb...

Followed all instructions, no change.

Lost everything except achievements. Was on playthrough 2 and now I'm a lvl 1 Private with no unlocks on first mission. Campaign wiped, loadout and records wiped.

Not happy.

Ive just had this happen to me AGAIN
I didnt do the patch that you have in here beacuase i was already back at level 45 when i found out about the patch
The first time i was at level 48 so i got my self back up to and to level 50
So ive done the ranking ladder twice now only to have it gone again
MAY I ASK WHAT IS GOING ON ???????????????????

To describe was playing game in 2nd map screen went black game restarted and got this on screen

Gotta love ur support here. I don't have the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\SniperElite4 in my system. Probably because my games r on the D drive. And there's no Users on the D drive. But all my steam games r. I'm coping my game file so I can try ur so called patch.

Okay I've tried ur instructions and patch but no go. 86 hours apparently wasted. And of course suport is no help. But the worst part is I had the cloud the backup and apparently ur backup doesn't work either! And I'm stuck at the same spot on the leader board.

Probably because this folder is hiden [AppData] :)

Hi guys have we come up with any idea why some of us are loosing are ranking????
Plus all the content that has been unlocked to is gone??
EG: letters,documents,eagles and challaneges
If you do this(well for me) patch it does nothing, the steam cloud file doesnt give you back your stuff either ????(again it didnt for me)
This is twice ive lost every thing yet on leader board it still shows im level 50 and on my profile page it shows all the achivements ive done in game so far.

IS THERE GOING TO BE A FIX FOR THIS ??????????????????

$107.00 is alot to pay for a game that seams to not play right.

Thanks KamikazE but that did'nt make a difference. But I can't even start over on the leader board it's stuck at 1,483,000.
